The end of the year is near…so what does 2006 mean to me?

The year started off weakly with lots of issues…never realize some things were so fragile…many were broken: sisterhood, friendship, trust, confidence, and faith…Yet, as time went by, I managed to mend some, while some…well, they are in the works.

Overall, the year was a volatile one…started the year in a rut…and ended with a (hopefully) stable job with a (hopefully) career prospect…gaining a few friends along the way…most notably is an ensemble of the 16 most interesting people I’ve ever known.

So here’s to the end of 2006 and the beginning of the new year…may all hopes are anew, trust is restored, goals are achieved, prayers are answered… and most definitely, looking forward to more good food, friends, and times.

I’ve been feeling restless these past few days….needs of the moment (in no particular order): holiday cheers, a little bit of tender loving care, and beers

Today I had a really good opportunity to get something that I’ve been longing, and need, for some times now.  But then, guess what I did? I used my brain, instead of my heart, and decided to pass up the opportunity, while hurting someone’s feeling in the process.  The reason I did that? Cuz according to my logic, if I used this opportunity, all hell would break loose…might lose my face, might lose a friend.  So that decision should be a correct one, right? Then how come I feel crappy now? Sigh….

Rule number 1 in my life: never imagine getting something that you want so bad, even though you can taste it, feel it, touch it, hug it, or even breathe on it…otherwise, you won’t get it.  Been proven so many times in my life, because as an avid daydreamer, I broke the rule so many time.  Is it because of this that I can’t seem to get anywhere in my life? Sigh…

Seriously, I think lately my live has been about private equity…There’s the weekly private equity class that fill our lives with assignments all week long…there’s the special project which deal with private equity…there’s the article that I have to researched for and one of the topic is supposed to be private equity…my goodness, I mean, how many private equity stuffs can a girl take in her life?  By my standard, I guess not that much, huh?
